Sopra Steria and Wrangu make it easier for companies to fulfil GDPR
Oslo: Prior to new EU requirements, many Norwegian businesses are striving to gain control over all of the personal data they are on. A new collaboration between Sopra Steria and Wrangu will make this work easier, especially in compliance with the long-term regulations.
“We in Wrangu are proud to enter into partnership with Sopra Steria, who is both a European leader in digital transformation and also ServiceNow partner. This collaboration will be a powerful driver for rolling out the “GDPR Accelerator” in the Nordic region, and will help businesses with a faster and more seamless handling of privacy in accordance with GDPR” says Nitin Rudawar, co-founder in Wrangu.
“In many businesses, personal data is spread in different systems, databases and apps. Often, this information is not exactly known or used, which makes it difficult to keep the data accurate and updated as GDPR requires. Through our collaboration with Wrangu, we are in a better position to help our customers solve challenges related to GDPR” said Lillian Røstad, Head of Information Security at Sopra Steria.
Must lay the foundation for Data protection now
Wrangu was founded in 2016 and specialises in security operations and risk management, especially within the ServiceNow world. The Wrangu GDPR Accelerator software is designed to let businesses get started with the privacy work in a clear and comprehensive way.
“It’s not just about meeting the EU deadline, but living with the regulations in the years to come. Doing a good foundation now, ensures that your solution will be as easy as possible to handle and build on in the future” says Røstad.
Very mature market
She tells of a huge amount of maturity among Norwegian companies and organisations when it comes to how personal information is processed.
“Some, like public entities, have worked well and systematically with privacy over a number of years. For them, it’s really just about making adjustments to comply with the EU regulation. Others have only recently discovered that the new regulations also concern them. They have a big job in front of them” says Røstad.
Sopra Steria becomes Wrangu’s first partner in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
“I am very pleased that Sopra Steria will be our first partner in the Nordic region. The combination of our products and their delivery capacity will make our customers more quickly comply with the GDPR requirements” said Lee Grant, CEO of Wrangu.
